Yaroslava Kuryacha is Miss Ukraine 2011 from Vinnitsa

Yesterday, at the Palats Ukraina concert hall in Kyiv, 26 gorgeous young girls graced the stage in evening gowns, swimsuits, and cultural costumes. The title of Miss Ukraine 2011 was up for grabs and while the competition was fierce as always, 19-year-old Yaroslava Kuryacha from Vinnitsa came out on top.
The celebrity panel of judges included American hotel heiress Paris Hilton, Belgian martial arts champion and actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, Russian socialite Kseniya Sobchak, Ukrainian gymnastics champion Anna Bessonova, and Irish Miss World 2003 Rosanna Davison.
The beauty contest stirred up a little controversy. During Paris Hilton's press conference, Femen activist Oleksandra Shevchenko staged a solo protest and stripped off her shirt. Chanting "Model, don't go to brothel", Shevchenko's protest didn't last long as she was quickly rushed out of the hall.
Yaroslava Kuryacha will now represent Ukraine at the Miss World pageant in London on November 6th.
